CCNA Certified Cisco® Network Associate Preparation Part 1
Overview
CCNA Preparation is a two-course program that prepares participants for the industry recognized
CCNA certification exam. This program provides comprehensive coverage of Cisco
networking concepts. A background in A+, Network+, or network support and administration
is recommended for optimal performance in the program.
Objectives
After participating in the program, participants will be able to:
- Determine Internetworking Basics
- Describe the OSI Reference Model
- Explain Ethernet Networking and Data Encapsulation
- Describe the Cisco Three-Layer Hierarchical Model
- Explain TCP/IP and the DoD Model
- Configure IP Addressing and Broadcast Addresses
- Discuss Subnetting Basics and Subnet Masks
- Troubleshoot IP Addressing
- Explain the Cisco Internetworking Operating System (Cisco IOS)
- Determine Router and Switch Administrative Configurations
- Define Router Interfaces
- Discuss the Cisco Security Device Manager (SDM)
Format
CCNA Preparation Part 1 is a 30-hour course and is the first part of a two-part, 60-hour program.
The course is delivered in a variety of formats based upon the needs of the client.
