FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL)
Overview
This preparatory course is designed to equip the participants with the essential
knowledge, rules, regulations, and procedures related to the FCC’s General
Radiotelephone Operator license. Information pertaining to Elements 1, 3, and
8 are discussed in the program. Topics covered in the course include history
of radio regulation, commercial radio operator’s licenses, and radar.
Practice GROL questions are used throughout the course to familiarize participants
with the topics and types of questions covered on the license exam.
Objectives
After completing the course, participants will be able to:
- Discuss commercial radio operator’s licenses
- Explain the
basics of radar
- Demonstrate familiarity with the GROL practice question
pool
Format
The FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) course is a 36-hour
course, offered in multiple sessions based upon the needs of the customer.
The course is delivered in an interactive, learner-centered style of facilitation.
