Course Overview
Fundamentals of Networking is designed to provide participants with the skills needed to plan, install, and troubleshoot a network in a corporate environment.
Some of the topics covered in the course are:
- Network cables and devices
- Network protocols
- Network operating systems
- Network design, implementation, and maintenance
Objectives
After successfully completing the Fundamentals of Networking course, participants will be able to perform the following course objectives:
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of networking fundamentals
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Network security essentials
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Internet servers
Format
Fundamentals of Networking is a 42-hour course, offered once a week. The course content is presented in an interactive, learner-centered style of facilitation. Participants are actively engaged through discussion, as well as written and hands-on application exercises. Ample time is allotted for questions, feedback, and skill practice.
